We are on the Bedfordshire/ Buckinghamshire border, in the village of Mentmore, close to Leighton Buzzard.

Our mission
Our mission is to breed the best quality spotty Shetland sheep in Great Britain outside of Shetland. That is flecket, ilget, yuglet, the Shetland description for this marking. We also have horned ewes, very rare in Great Britain, outside of Shetland. Friendly, calm temperament is another feature we focus on.
The flock here at Abacus Acres are founded on Shetland sheep that were brought down from Shetland. They were inspected before they could be registered and entered into the Shetland Sheep Society flock book.
